The New Orleans Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, and Tulane University Law School will co-host a CLE on inclusion focused on first-generation lawyers on October 28, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Loyola University New Orleans College of Law ( 526 Pine St, Room 308, New Orleans).

Alicia McDowell, First-Generation Attorney at Law and Founder of Aim Big Consultants
and
Homero Lopez, Director/Managing Attorney of Immigration Services and Legal Advocacy (ISLA) and Adjunct Professor of Law at both Loyola University College of Law and Tulane University Law School,
are our panel of first-generation lawyers who will be discussing relevant issues faced by practitioners with insight learned through their own experiences as a first-generation lawyer.
This event is geared to law school students, but also offers 1 hour of Professionalism CLE credit. Attendees are encouraged to ask questions. A light reception will follow to further the conversation. This event is free to all, but registration is required.
